South & Central American Cichlids
South & Central American Cichlids are among some of the easiest cichlids to keep and breed.Thesy spawn in nests or some species are mouthbrooders. They have been available to the hobby for over a century. They range is size from about an inch and half to some real monster sized fish around 12". They can be quite pugnacious when in breeding condition and a watchful eye should be kept to prevent injuries. They also have to be kept with other fish that can handle their tough neighbors.
