Tetras are one of the largest species of fish in the world. Found in rivers, streams, ponds and lakes they range form tiny 1" long fish to 4" in sizes.These are schooling fish and best kept in groups of five or more.A school of neon tetras or cardinal tetras is an extremely impressive sight espcially with the proper lighting. Schools help relieve stress of single specimens and keeps some types of tetras from becoming the tank bullies, Black Tetras for example. They are fast swimmers and pretty in color and given the proper conditions can be good spawners.
